ABOUT ME

I’m Hayley — a sound designer and engineer working across commercial advertising, podcasts, vodcasts, and short films. I help creative teams tell sharper, more expressive stories through sound that’s intentional, polished, and a little bit unexpected.

I discovered sound design when I was gifted my first MacBook at 13. I opened GarageBand, dragged in a scratchy song I’d written alone in my room, and realized I could layer FX, vocals, and textures until it sounded bigger, fuller — better. That was it. I was hooked.

Since then, I’ve built a career around that same instinct: to shape raw moments into something that connects. With a background in performance, a love for rhythm and texture, and an ear for detail, I bring both technical precision and creative intuition to everything I work on.

My style is collaborative, efficient, and low-key. I take pride in being someone people can trust — not just to deliver clean files and clear comms, but to help shape work that feels honest, exciting, and just right.

In addition to my work behind the scenes, I’ve recently lent my voice to two national campaigns — Tourism Queensland’s “For Real Life” and Cenovis’ “A Daily Dose of Good.”

When I’m not buried in a session, I enjoy championing women and LGBTQ+ creatives in the industry by helping out on their short films— or nerding out over the sound design in a new series.
